What we do

Our philosophy is, we believe, self-evident in what we do: Always approach each client’s project brief with imagination and care, making sure to remember this is their project, not ours (so, ego-trips only when explicitly requested!). Always keep an eye on cost-effectiveness and ensure that the client is kept fully informed at all stages of the design and procurement process.

Communication is vital and it is important for us to establish a clear understanding of our client’s requirements from the outset in order to provide clear, professional advice and guide the client through the various work-stages that culminate in a successfully completed project.

Buildings and developments are often complex, time consuming and expensive. The ultimate goals are, however, relatively straightforward for every type of development: A successfully completed project that:

• achieves the objectives set out in the client’s brief;
• respects and complies with energy conservation and related legislative issues;
• and creates an attractive, functional and delightful place to be.

Following a new project enquiry, we meet with clients to discuss the broad objectives of the project, offer initial, outline advice and establish the general scope of work and involvement required of us and, where appropriate, other professionals and specialists. We do not charge for this initial consultation and we follow up with a detailed letter setting out a strategy for overcoming the main issues essential to delivering the project; a letter is normally accompanied by a comprehensive Schedule of Services and Fees.
