Baythorne Hall Business Hub

This project grows and grows….

Starting out with the conversion of a listed Granary, to create a specialist wine shop and cookery school, the site needed a ‘hook’ to realise its potential as a destination attraction – that hook took the form of Tarka’s Cafe, converted from an old concrete-framed chicken barn, to what is one of the most highly praised ‘foody’ locations in the area.

With the cafe conversion complete, the market opened-up for a range of complimentary businesses, located in other redundant barns, successfully established businesses that include a farm shop, an antiques centre, an artisan bakery a top-rate butcher’s, a wine shop and a garden shop located in the former Granary. Of course, with the number of visitors increasing rapidly, we were pleased to be asked to prepare proposals for enlarging Tarka’s cafe, which is all finished and doing very well.
