Construction begins on 6-house scheme in rural village

Construction recently started on this village scheme for six new houses. Replacing an old garage/workshop in a sensitive, rural location, there was a lot of back-and-forth with planners and conservation officers, who wanted fewer houses. We persuaded them that the scheme of six was appropriate based on an analysis of former, historic farm buildings that had occupied the site and planning was granted.

It’s been raining almost solidly since construction started, but the developer is finally out of the ground!
