When J.A.P Architects restructured at the end of 1999 we wanted to work in a rural location with good links to local towns. Blois Meadow Business Centre was a site we’d worked on in the past, since it was originally a field at the edge of the Essex village of Steeple Bumpstead. We had designed a number of the existing buildings and our clients had space for a new office building that we could have.
We had seven, very successful years of growth at Blois Meadow, during which time we designed the central ‘control tower’ which was occupied by our landlords. Today, there is in excess of twenty businesses operating out of the Centre which we were privileged to help ‘master-plan’.
